As part of the IT overhaul, Telco ICT moved all VACSAL devices, including laptops and desktops, to Microsoft Intune. This centralised device management solution allowed for streamlined updates, security enforcement, and compliance across all devices.

The file server was also migrated to SharePoint, providing a more secure and accessible file management system.

Improved security measures were implemented for Microsoft 365 to strengthen the IT environment further. This included advanced threat protection, data loss prevention, and secure access controls, ensuring that VACSAL's communication and collaboration tools were protected from cyber threats.

The TelcoICT Solution: Adaptive Plans and Proactive Support

Telco ICT conducted a detailed analysis of the existing mobile plans and services. The review uncovered opportunities to streamline improvement and identified services that were no longer necessary. Transition to Adaptive Mobility Plans

The outdated mobile plans were replaced with adaptive mobility plans. The switch to adaptive plans offered flexibility that wasn't possible before. Adaptive plans scale according to usage, providing cost efficiency and avoiding the pitfalls of overpaying for underutilised services.

Additionally, The adaptive fund is a mobile hardware fund that adds 10% of the plan spend as a credit into the 'adaptive mobility fund'. These credits can be used as needed to purchase hardware requirements such as tablets or mobile handsets as required.

Cancellation of Unused Services

Services identified as being no longer in use were promptly cancelled, eliminating unnecessary costs and streamlining the mobile services portfolio. This step saved money and simplified their mobile services, reducing organisational overheads and the potential for billing errors.
