Our client sought our assistance in two phases: first, fixing unreliable internet connectivity and data security, and second, giving their website a user-friendly interface.
VACSAL's internet connections across their sites were unreliable, causing frequent disruptions in daily operations. The absence of website filtering allowed unrestricted access to any website, posing potential risks to network security and productivity. Their network had been a target of denial of service (DoS) attacks, highlighting exposures in its cybersecurity defences.
Recognising the critical nature of these issues, VACSAL needed a trustworthy and proficient IT service provider to manage these challenges and create a resilient and secure IT environment. They turned to Telco ICT Group for a comprehensive solution that would address these multifaceted problems.
We proposed and implemented strategic measures to overhaul VACSAL's IT framework. These measures aimed to enhance network performance, bolster cybersecurity, and streamline IT management processes.
Telco ICT Group deployed a Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) solution to tackle the connectivity issues across all VACSAL sites. This provided a more reliable and efficient network infrastructure, capable of managing traffic intelligently and ensuring better internet connectivity.
Alongside SD-WAN, managed Sophos security appliances were installed at all sites, providing advanced threat protection and network security.
Understanding the critical need for robust cybersecurity, we implemented enhanced security protocols, including redundancy around data storage. Such an approach ensured that VACSAL's data was secure and readily available in case of any disruptions.
The cybersecurity enhancements included comprehensive threat detection and response systems to safeguard against potential attacks.
As part of the IT overhaul, Telco ICT moved all VACSAL devices, including laptops and desktops, to Microsoft Intune. This centralised device management solution allowed for streamlined updates, security enforcement, and compliance across all devices.
The file server was also migrated to SharePoint, providing a more secure and accessible file management system.
Improved security measures were implemented for Microsoft 365 to strengthen the IT environment further. This included advanced threat protection, data loss prevention, and secure access controls, ensuring that VACSAL's communication and collaboration tools were protected from cyber threats.
By partnering with Telco ICT Group, VACSAL significantly improved the end-user experience. The IT team now had a reliable partner for escalations and co-management, ensuring that any IT issues were promptly addressed.
This partnership allowed VACSAL's internal IT team to focus on strategic initiatives, knowing that the day-to-day IT operations were in capable hands.
There were several requirements to deliver the best results for the new website:
Telco ICT Group undertook an in-depth consultation process to fully understand VACSAL's needs and objectives. The result was a custom WordPress website designed and developed to meet all specified requirements. Spanning 110 pages, the new site featured a culturally relevant, modern design, easy navigation and functionality.
The new website allowed VACSAL's team members to easily update content, ensuring that information remained current and relevant. The events calendar and various access levels for different team members streamlined the management of updates, while the integration with Facebook posts enhanced VACSAL's online engagement.
Upon launching the new website, VACSAL requested only a few minor changes, reflecting their satisfaction with the outcome and the speed of delivery. Telco ICT's commitment to excellence and client satisfaction was evident in the positive feedback.
To ensure the website's ongoing security and performance, Telco ICT Group provided secure hosting services. While VACSAL's internal IT team primarily manages the site, Telco ICT Group remains available for ongoing support and requirements, fostering a collaborative and supportive relationship.
Significant improvements in IT infrastructure and digital infrastructure have addressed the critical IT challenges being faced. Creating a more secure and efficient environment has enabled VACSAL to focus on its mission confidently. The new website further helped VACSAL serve its community, reflecting the successful collaboration.
An assortment of different service providers made their network unreliable. Inconsistent performance and constant worries about network redundancy threatened to negatively impact their operation. That's when Telco ICT Group stepped in, ready to devise a solution to ensure smooth data flow and keep Burra Foods churning out dairy delights.
With over 150 employees across Victoria, seamless communication and data transfer were vital for efficient operations. However, their existing network infrastructure, cobbled together from a mix of providers, was proving to be a major bottleneck. This resulted in:
• Inconsistent Performance: Frequent connectivity issues plagued Burra Foods' network. Slow data transfer affected collaboration and file sharing between teams across locations. This constantly disrupted workflow impacted overall productivity.
• Downtime Disruptions: Network outages, a frequent occurrence due to the lack of redundancy, caused significant downtime. Critical business processes, such as inventory management and order `fulfilment, were often put on hold, impacting customer service and potentially leading to lost revenue.
These network shortcomings significantly hindered Burra Foods' ability to function at peak efficiency.
Recognising the need for a reliable and resilient network infrastructure, Burra Foods engaged Telco ICT Group to design and implement a comprehensive solution.
We began the project by thoroughly assessing Burra Foods' existing network infrastructure. By evaluating the multiple connections, we identified the issues causing poor performance. By meticulously mapping the entire network's layout, we identified critical weak spots – areas begging for network reinforcement.
We proposed a standardised network infrastructure across all four Burra Foods locations based on an in-depth analysis.
Selecting a single, reliable service provider that could offer consistent and high-quality connectivity across all locations ensured uniform service quality and simplified network management. The regularity of one connection ensured consistent performance and reliable connections throughout the organisation.
We designed a robust network architecture to address the redundancy concerns. Adding backup connections to the network helped prevent outages. Choosing one internet provider founded a more stable, comprehensive, and resilient solution.
The revamped network setup ensured uninterrupted operations through built-in redundancy and noticeably boosted performance. We introduced the following:
These allowed us to proactively spot and resolve potential issues before they could disrupt daily workflows.
With this more reliable and resilient network, Burra Foods saw significantly reduced connectivity problems, resulting in smoother and more efficient operations. The improved network performance allowed employees to do the following:
In addition to the network infrastructure improvements, Telco ICT Group provides ongoing support and maintenance services to ensure Burra Foods' network's continued reliability and performance. Ongoing assistance includes:
Our dedicated support team worked closely with Burra Foods' ICT team to address any concerns promptly and implement necessary updates or enhancements.
Telco ICT Group's solution for Burra Foods is a prime example of how a tailored network infrastructure can transform business operations. The main pain points were inconsistent connections and a lack of backup. Telco ICT Group stepped in and delivered a network built to last.
Teaming up with Telco ICT Group gave them a dependable, efficient network. Now, Burra Foods can focus on what they do best – churning out delicious dairy treats – while their network keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Telco ICT stepped in to address these issues and provide a comprehensive mobility solution that transformed its communication infrastructure.
Austin Clothing/Gazman faced several challenges with its existing mobile communication services. The initial assessment revealed three key challenges:
• Outdated Mobile Plans: Many staff were still on older, less cost-effective plans that didn't reflect their current usage patterns.
• Unused Services: Austin Clothing was unknowingly paying for services like voicemail or data packages that some employees didn't require.
• Slow Response Times: Getting support from their existing provider was time-consuming, hampering Austin Clothing's ability to address any mobile-related issues quickly.
These challenges impacted Austin Clothing's bottom line and staff productivity.
Telco ICT approached the problem with a thorough mobility review, aiming to streamline and modernise the company's mobile communication framework. Here's how they achieved this:
Telco ICT conducted a detailed analysis of the existing mobile plans and services. The review uncovered opportunities to streamline improvement and identified services that were no longer necessary. By understanding Austin Clothing/Gazman's specific requirements and challenges, Telco ICT was able to tailor a solution that perfectly matched their needs.
The outdated mobile plans were replaced with adaptive mobility plans. The switch to adaptive plans offered flexibility that wasn't possible before. Adaptive plans scale according to usage, providing cost efficiency and avoiding the pitfalls of overpaying for underutilised services.
Additionally, The adaptive fund is a mobile hardware fund that adds 10% of the plan spend as a credit into the 'adaptive mobility fund'. These credits can be used as needed to purchase hardware requirements such as tablets or mobile handsets as required.
Services identified as being no longer in use were promptly cancelled, eliminating unnecessary costs and streamlining the mobile services portfolio. This step saved money and simplified their mobile services, reducing organisational overheads and the potential for billing errors.
By implementing these strategic changes, Telco ICT ensured that Austin Clothing/Gazman's mobile communication infrastructure was modernised and optimised for cost-efficiency and operational flexibility.

With retail stores spanning the country, this household name needed a way to tame their inefficient, outdated IT solutions in store and at HQ. How could such a shift happen with minimal impact to sales and valued customers?
With close to 20 stores spanning shopping centres, strip malls and more, this New Balance knew the outdated IT systems connecting every sales point for their business left a lot to be desired.
While shoppers were blissfully unaware, these retail stores were running an unconnected approach and only had one business analyst on staff (not a dedicated IT resource) to deal with every issue. But this was just the tip of the iceberg. All IT equipment was at end of life. All stores were connected via MPLS in a private environment, with no ongoing and account management from a telecomms partner. Some stores still faced a shift to NBN, left behind with dragging internet connectivity and outdated equipment.
This big player in retail needed more than just an installation of new technology. They needed end-to-end project and account management to align and connect each store and touch point. Moreover, they needed to keep doors open and sales coming in. After all, retail doesn’t sleep.
With this in mind, Telco ICT stepped aboard - promising to deliver big, while keeping the lag time small.
Approaching the task with speed and strategy top of mind, Telco ICT set to work, first and foremost developing a strong account management relationship. What resulted was trust and alignment, two key elements for the project’s success.
Through ongoing discussions with the retailer and their global headquarters, Telco ICT installed and configured new technology across all 17 stores and established ongoing account management for Telstra services for mobiles, fixed points and MPLS, moving all remaining stores over to NBN.
Telco ICT installed and configured CISCO Meraki SDWAN for all 17 sites, including roll out of security policies for staff and wifi access points for customers.
With a centralised dashboard, all stores now benefit from security updates in unison, meaning that finally, no store was left behind. This unified approach provided not only an easier experience for staff, but a more seamless transaction for customers each and every time - leading to increased foot traffic and sales.
Centralising the stores’ mobile ordering and cancelling capacity required Telco ICT’s expertise in integrated project management, with effective communication and sign-off from HQ. Transparency was key to the process, and Telco ICT acted as conduit to keep communication, reviews and account management on a continuous cycle of improvement.
Telco ICT now provides regular, on-demand remote support for all IT matters - on-site if required - and this new balance couldn’t be happier. With years of isolated store experiences left behind, they are finally able to confidently increase sales and customer satisfaction, thanks to Telco ICT.
